Stargate
SG-1's Weapons
Fabrique National
P90
Fabrique National
P90 Sub Machine Gun fitted with side mounted optical
and laser sites. The optical site is on the right side,
and the laser site on the left in the standard configuration,
though this can be easily reversed for left handed personnel.
Standard Clip holds
50 rounds.
Empty Weight is 2.5 kg
Loaded Weight is 3 kg
Standard Ammo Type is 5.7x28mm Ball round (FN designates
this round the SS190 and is designed for a a tracer mix
with the L191 tracer round)
Note: Because the P90 uses Supersonic rounds, in order to
effectively suppress this weapon, the silencer must be used
in combination with special ammunition.
Standard Ammo Issue with this weapon is six 50 round magizines
with the SS190 supersonic armor piercing round in a four
to one mix with the L191 tracer round, and two 50 round
magazines with the Sb193 Subsonic rounds.
Fabrique National Five-seven
Fabrique National
Five-seven (pronouced "Five Seven") is now the
standard issue side arm of SG teams. It uses the same armor
piercing cartiges as the P90, making the ammo interchangeable
between the two weapons (Note: this requires removing it
from the pistol magazine and loading it into the P90's magazine)
which is the reason for changing from the standard 9mm pistol
normally issues to US military personnel. The weapon is
a fusion of the design of the Browning High Power 9mm pistol
and the Glock line of fire arms. The most notable feature
of the weapon aside from the extremely powerful ammunition,
is the lack of a safety. Because the weapon is Double Action
only, there is no need. Like the glock, the only way to
discharge the weapon is by pulling the trigger, since there
is no exposed hammer to precock, making accidental dischage
of the weapon highly improbable.
Standard Clip holds
20 rounds.
Empty Weight is 618 g
Loaded Weight is 744 g
Standard Ammo Type is 5.7x28mm Ball round (FN designates
this round the SS190)
Standard Ammo Issue with this weapon is three 20 round magizines.
M24 7.62mm
The Remington M24
7.62mm Sniper Weapon System is the standard issue army sniper
rifle. The weapon is chambered for the 7.62mm Nato round,
and uses the action from the Remington Arms 700. The weapon
was introduced in the 70's as a more accurate alternative
to the semiautomatic sniper rifles in use following the
decommisioning of the Springfield 1903 at the end of WWII
5 Round Internal Magazine.
Empty Weight is 6.3 kg
Loaded Weight is 6.5 kg
Standard Ammo Type is 7.62 Nato
Standard Ammo Issue with this weapon is eight 50 round boxes
of ammo.
The Barrett M82A1
The Barrett M82A1
rifle is the standard heavy sniper weapon of the SGC, prefered
by many for its superior stopping power over the M24SWS.
It uses essentially the same round as the M2 Browning .50
Caliber Machine Gun. The size of the round allows it to
deliver a devastating amount of kinetic energy to the target.
The weapon operates on a short recoil principal, but includes
a recoil dampening system which reduced the impact to levels
associated with a twelve gauge shotgun, allowing the weapon
to be should fired from standing or prone positions.
The weapon's main disadvantage is
it's weight. Empty, the weapon weights 12.9kg (28.5 pounds).
Loaded, that number jumps to roughly 15kg (over 31.5 pounds),
making it a difficult weapon to hump in the field. In addition,
typical ammo loads can quickly exceed more then 25kg for
a sniper, and the weapon is not useable as a close assault
weapon.

Standard Clip holds 10 rounds.
Empty Weight is 12.9 kg
Loaded Weight is 15 kg
Standard Ammo Type is .50 BMG (12.7 X 99mm)
Standard Ammo Issue with this weapon is three 10 round magizines
and one 150 round ammo case.
Zat'nik'atel

The Zat'nik'atel,
or Zat as the members of the SGC have dubbed it, is a weapon
of Goa'uld design. It uses the same type of power cell as
the staff weapon, but channels the energy in a different
form. The weapon delivers an extremely powerful electric
charge of a nature not entirely understood by human scientists.
The first shot will stun and incapacitate a Goa'uld or Jaffa,
and render all but the strongest humans totally unconscious.
Being shot with a Zat is painful in the extreme even assuming
you don't remain conscious. The second shot is almost always
lethal, though on occassion, if medical assistance is near
by, the victim's heart can be restarted with outside assistance
such as CPR or a defibrilator. The third shot is invariably
fatal, as it decintigrates the victim. This effect also
works on non-living matter. Zat's are standard issue to
all members of SG field teams.
Transphase
Eradication Rod
T.E.R.'s are purpose
built weapons designed by the Goa'uld specifically to combat
the Reetou, a race of aliens that exist 180° out of
phase with Humans. These weapons consist of two seperate
systems. A Transphase painting device which projects a beam
of energy that allows Humans to see things in any phase,
and the Transphase Eradication system, which fires a beam
of energy destructive to objects no matter what phase they
are in. The Tok'ra supplied the SGC with approximately a
dozen T.E.R.'s

USAS-12
The USAS-12 is a magazine
fed semiautomatic shotgun. It excepts ten round box magazines
or 20 round drum magazines.
Standard Clip holds
10 rounds.
Drum holds 20 rounds.
Empty Weight is 5.5 kg
Loaded Weight is 6.2 kg with 10 round magazine
Loaded Weight is 6.9 kg with 20 round drum
Standard Ammo Type is 12 Gauge (2 3/4 in shells - 70 mm
chamber )
Note: The read of the drum magazine is made of a translucent
polymer to allow a quick vision determination of the number
of rounds remaining in the drum.
Standard Ammo Issue with this weapon is 3 20 round magizines
with Double 0 Buck Shot Shells.
M249 (Minimi Para)
The M240 Minimi is
the standard issue Squad Automatic Weapon for the United
States armed forces. A Squad Automatic Weapon is designed
to provide a team with heavy fire support. The weapon pictured
below is the standard configuration. The SGC makes use exclusively
of the M249 "Minimi Para" variant, which features
a shortened barrel and a sliding stock.

Standard Ammo Box
holds 200 rounds on a belt feed.
Empty Weight is 6.75 kg
Loaded Weight is 9.875 kg
Standard Ammo Type is 5.56mm Nato Ball round
Standard Ammo Issue with this weapon is three 200 round
ammo boxes.
Intar
The Intar is a weapon
of goa'uld design that can be manufactured in virtually
any form factor. The weapon is designed for training, and
as such is primarily intended to stand if for the standard
issue battle weapons. The SGC captured a number of Intars
in configurations designed to train Goa'uld solders in the
use of earth weapons. At the same time, they captured a
large number configured as Zat'Nika'Tels and Staff Weapons.
The SGC uses thes weapons both for security purposes and
for the recently implemented training programs.
MP-5
Heckler & Koch
MP5A5 Sub Machine Gun (Not a rifle) Fitted with Optional
Integrated flashlight and a 10x Optical Dot site (I.E. you
look through the site and it magnifies what you see by a
factor of 10 and puts a big red dot over the spot where
the bullet will hit. Unlike a laser site the target can
not see the dot) Standard Clip holds 30 rounds. (SG Teams
used a double clip,(two clips, attached side by side with
a spacer between them. They fire 30 rounds, change the clip,
and fire another thirty)

Empty Weight is 2.880
kg
Loaded Weight is 4.104 kg (with the double clip)
Standard Ammo Type is 9x19mm NATO Ball.
Standard Ammo Issue with this weapon is one pair of 30 round
magizines connected on the weapon, and four additional single
30 round magazines for a total of 180 rounds.
While this configuration of the MP-5 has since been replaced
by the MP-5/10. A 10mm version of the weapon,
M9
The M9, better known
as the Beretta Model 92F is the stardard issue side arm
of the United States Armed Forces. While solid and reliable,
it lacks the raw penetration power and high magazine capacity
of the 5-7 which the SGC issues as standard. However, some
still prefer the M9 opting for familiarity over power.

Standard Clip holds
15 rounds.
Empty Weight is .859 kg
Loaded weight 1.145 kg
Standard Ammo Type is 9x19mm NATO Ball (a copper jacketed
lead slug fired from a brass center fire casing).
Standard Ammo Issue with this weapon is three 15 round magazines.
C4
Composition 4. A high
quality, very high velocity military plastic explosive.
C4 has roughly the same consistancy as modeling clay, and
is difficult to cook off by accident. You almost have to
have a detonator to set the stuff off.
M67
This is the standard
issue fragmentation grenade. Each member of the SG team
is issued two grenades as a standard part of their field
pack. More are availible on request.

Goauld Weapons
Staff Weapon

The Staff weapon
is the standard issue main battle weapon of the Jaffa armies
of the Goa'uld. Approximately 2 meters in lenth, the standard
model features a cobra head design on one end which can
be illuminated to provide light for night marches. The other
end is shaped much like a flattened football. This end has
four segments which open, revealing a high powered energy
weapon of capable of delivering devasting fire power at
up to two hundred meters. The lack of any form of intigrated
site make the weapon ineffective beyond that range except
in the most skilled of hands. The weapon can also be used
as a melee weapon in a fighting style much as one would
use with a quarter staff. Also, the staff weapon has two
modes. In it's standard configuration, the weapon works
in a semi automatic style. You press the trigger, it fires
once and only once. When a Jaffa warrior achieves a certain
rank, his or her Goa'uld master opens the head of the weapon
and flips a small switch inside, making the staff fully
automatic. If the firing stud is pressed and held, the weapon
continues firing until the trigger is released.
Glider Cannon
The Glider Cannon is the big brother of the Staff weapon.
It is normally mounted under the wing of a Death Gilder,
but the weapon is designed so that a downed glider pilot
can detach the cannon and carry it as a heavy weapon. The
Cannon is significantly more powerful than the staff weapon,
but has a lower rate of fire. Approximately 1.5 meters in
lenth, the standard model uses the same firing head as the
staff weapon, but backs it with a much larger power supply
and priming chamber. The weapon can be used in a fully automatic
mode, but much like Earth made machine guns, overheating
is a massive problem. Unlike Earth built machine guns, you
can't simply swap barrels and keep going. Because of this,
the weapon, like it's smaller counterpart, has a switch
hidden inside it's workings to lock off the autofire option.
This switch is held open as long as the weapon is attached
to the glider and the glider's cooling system, but automatically
trips, locking the weapon in the semiautomatic configuration
when dismounted.
Energy
Cannon
This is what the Glider Cannon and Staff Weapon want to
be when they grow up. Weighing in at a heft 150lbs, or about
75kg, the Energy Cannon is not a man portable weapon, and
is never meant to be. The weapon is a rapid firing, oversized
version of the staff weapon more than capable of cutting
a full grown human in half with a single shot, and doing
the same four or five more times before the energy is significantly
disipated. This is *the* weapon of choice for entrenched
Goa'uld defensive positions. It is normally mounted on a
bipod, and has an integrated cooling system. There is also
a version of this weapon mounted on a tower with a control
seat directly under the weapon. The tower mounted version
has an external power source and cooling system, making
it capable of even greater rates of fire and more powerful
discharges. In addition, the tower mounted weapon is controlled
through a highly sophisticated targeting and sensor suite,
making it ideal for anti-aircraft application.
Shock Grenade
A small orb resembling a gun metal grey Magic 8 Ball. The
Shock Grenade is effectively a high energy hand grenade
that can be set to function either as a flash/bang grenade,
or a concussion grenade. This weapon does not create shrapnel
projectiles.
Tacs A small automatic sentry aproximately the size of a
softball or grapefruit. This weapon will fire a high intensity
laser at any moving object not programmed into it's friend
recognition system, or wearing a special identification
tag.
Zat'nik'atel
The Zat'nik'atel, or Zat as the members of the SGC have
dubbed it, is a weapon of Goa'uld design. It uses the same
type of power cell as the staff weapon, but channels the
energy in a different form. The weapon delivers an extremely
powerful electric charge of a nature not entirely understood
by human scientists. The first shot will stun and incapacitate
a Goa'uld or Jaffa, and render all but the strongest humans
totally unconscious. Being shot with a Zat is painful in
the extreme even assuming you don't remain conscious. The
second shot is almost always lethal, though on occassion,
if medical assistance is near by, the victim's heart can
be restarted with outside assistance such as CPR or a defibrilator.
The third shot is invariably fatal, as it decintigrates
the victim. This effect also works on non-living matter.
Zat's are standard issue side arms for all Jaffa and are
typically worn in a holster on the left forarm.
Intar
The Intar is a weapon of goa'uld design that can be manufactured
in virtually any form factor. The weapon is designed for training,
and as such is primarily intended to stand if for the standard
issue battle weapons.
Transphase Eradication
Rod

T.E.R.'s are purpose built weapons designed by the Goa'uld
specifically to combat the Reetue, a race of aliens that
exist 180° out of phase with Humans. These weapons consist
of two seperate systems. A Transphase painting device which
projects a beam of energy that allows Humans to see things
in any phase, and the Transphase Eradication system, which
fires a beam of energy destructive to objects no matter
what phase they are in.
Harakash
A weapon designed to inflict pain and injury directly on a
Goa'uld parasite. The injuries accumulate until the parasite
is no longer able to recover, then, typically the parasite
drains the hosts resources until host and symbiot die together.
However, as the device injures only
the parasite, the parasite may chose to release it's hold
on the host. When this happens, the host's immune system
typically kills the injured parasite shortly after, and
the parasite is then metabolized, leaving a protien marker
and Naquada in the host's blood.
