Well, in what was
built as being a high scoring game, we delivered just that. Kicking a
total of 25 goals to Waitakeres 4. A great return to the blue and white
for Karl Martin (L.V) bagging 5 goals and also a sad goodbye to Shiner
who slotted 4 goals in the final quarter. Our centre play and wing play
was outstanding with Sharpy and Eddy both performing well. Although
slightly out manned in the ruck we still had alot of possession out of
the middle, with Jim, Rob, Bouge and Froggy all chipping in. In all a
comprehensive win and an all round good performance. There are still
things to improve on as we progress towards the finals and with the vast
improvements shown already so far this season i'm confident that come
finals we will be in top form.
As mentioned above, it was Justin Shiners last game for Uni. Its been great having Justin a part of Uni for the last few years and it is very sad to see him go. All the best in your endeavours back home and i'm sure you will fit in well where ever you may end up. All the best mate.
