Hello there! Okay, so are you ready? Sitting down? Yes, it's me! Woohoo! I've finally come to update My Room. Can you believe it!?! My children's rooms will be next but not tonight. It's almost midnight right now and it's a school night! hehe ......for my son, that is. Which means no lounging around in the morning. Getting 3 kids ready and all going in the same direction that early in the morning isn't a pice of cake. Whew!
It doesn't help that I am NOT a morning person. Ugh. I don't drink coffee, so one can't say, it's the usual, "gotta have my coffee first and don't talk to me, till I do!". I've never drank it. Just don't like the taste. Hmm...so, is that my problem? I need a caffeine jolt in the AM? Yuck! I'll stay a walking zombie till after lunch, if that's the case. :o)
I've always preferred to sleep half the day away and I'm not sure why, coz if for whatever reason, I am forced to wake up extra early? I really do love the calm and peacefulness of the wee early hours. I know, in most cases, I'm a walking ball of contradictions. I look at is this way. I just enjoy the diversities of life. Each day, something different. Everyone else might wish I would make up my mind so they can keep up with me! lol It's the cancer in me. I read somewhere once that being around a cancer female was like riding a roller coaster....full of twists and turns, ups and downs. Guess we keep people on their toes! Ah well...never a dull moment!
Gee, it has come to my attention that is becoming more like a journal. That wasn't my origional intent. To be truthful, I'm not really sure what was, but I kind of like this idea. Typing is faster than writing (even with only 2 fingers - coz sometimes a third slips in to pick up the slack). So this would be the easiest to do. I was reading a high school journal just a couple days ago actually. Brings back a lot of memories when you do that. When I moved, I had to pack up all that was stored in my attic. I finally went through one of the boxes to put stuff away and came across all my old journals. Of course, nothing else ended up getting done coz I just HAD to read a little. :o)
Since each of my children also have their own homepages...I can do the same thing with theirs. Keeps a written (typed) record of them growing up. Cool! I really like this idea! No one else may be interested in what's going on over here but I will enjoy looking back and reading what was. Who knows? Maybe a few of you out there will find some interesting stories in some of my entries. We certainly can have some different times around here ...hehehe
So what else has been happening? Nothing too exciting. My son received his first progress report a couple weeks ago. That was really neat. My first baby is growing up! He did quite well, with a couple areas he needs to work on. Class participation is one of them. My shy one. Soo much like me in a lot of ways. That was my most common comment EVERY year on EVERY report. "Would like to see Renee participate more in group discussions." Oh well....everyone knows I'm shy but I'm getting better!
You wouldn't think so from the way I babble on when writing would ya? lol I used to write some pretty good short stories in school. My mind works a mile a minute, I just have a hard time vocalizing what I'm thinking but give me a pen or I guess a keyboard and I'm fine as you can see.
Oh, ya know (yes, I type in slang) what surprised me? They start teaching sign language in the schools now. My son knows how to sign his ABC's already. I was quite impressed and he's having fun with it! I think that is just too cool. Never taught us about that. We didn't even take French until Grade 4. Now they start right in Junior Kindergarten (age 4) and I guess, sign language in Senior Kindergarten it seems.
I actually took a couple sign language classes. Did quite well in them and really enjoyed myself too! This is going back to pre- children days. After I had my son, I never went back but I'm seriously thinking of taking it up again soon. Sign Language and French. Took 10 years of French and can't speak a word of it. Well, not entirely true. I remember a few sentences and lots of individual words, my numbers and my letters. I'd like to be fluent in both of them though so it may be something in my future. :O)
Well, for tonight I think I need to sign off. It's late and I must get my beauty sleep! I may type in here more often though just to keep it all on record. Uh uh...not ALL of it. Some will be too personal obviously but you may find that I'm pretty open about most things. So if you keep up with my entries you just might find out more than you realy wanted to know in the first place! lol
Oh yeah. One more thing. If I'm gonna be typing out long stuff like this, you can be sure to find some spelling mistakes. Hey, what can I say?In the event of an error or more, just read between the lines. I'm sure it won't be too hard to figure out.

HELLO!!! Welcome to "My Room". This is where you'll find a little more about me. The picture above was taken in November of last year. I'll have new and recent ones posted real soon. If you've looked around my site at all, you'll have read that I've recently moved and I have yet to hook up my scanner and go thru my pictures. There's soooo much to do! ARGH! I do have a new role of film waiting to be developed so hopefully there'll be some decent pics to put in. Of everyone! *Smile*

I live in Ontario, Canada and am proud to be Canadian! *smile* As you already know, I just moved into a new home and am busy organizing and dreaming of what I'm going to do to make it more "mine" and "homey". Of course I also have started this website...my first, so be kind! I'm still learning and my spare time is very limited, but I have LOTS of ideas. They will ALL make it on the net eventually. :o)

In trying to keep this page fresh by adding new things about me and my life, I will write in here often. However, time isn't in abundance at the moment so look for updates to this page at the beginning of each month.
