Level 4 Viruses
Level 4 Viruses are viruses such as Ebola and Marburg that there is no known vaccine for and there is almost always a 100% fatality rate. They are kept is labs where multiple airlocks are used to enter and exit. The labs are a "no-sharps" area to prevent the punturing of the bioharard suits that are worn to enter the lab. Anyone entering the lab must wear this suit which entirly encloses their body. They breathe by hooking hoses on their suits into couplings in the lab. When exiting the lab the person must go through a full decontamination which includes their entire suit being drenched in a virus killing chemical. The labs are placed under negative air pressure so none of the contaminated air is allowed to leave the lab if there is a breech of the walls enclosing the lab. All air exiting is carefully filtered to remove any and all airborn particles of viruses. The lab is a high security area and only selected and qualified persons may work in the lab.
