Why are some parents unloving?
The answer most often is that there is hardly any love between the parents themselves. We have never known any instance where a loving couple has shown even any form of hostility to their children. So if both or one of your parents were unloving the most obvious reason is that there is no love between them at the first place. If they are still in the marriage its most probably because of financial gains or social phobia of getting divorced.
As an example I will share the story of one of our members from India, who never realized the impending doom in his life until he was 25 years of age. His mother had a pre-marital affair, an intense one and was left smitten and dumped by her guy in the late 70's. But still today our friend's mother remember her college lover and there is hardly any love between her and her husband. She had developed psychological complexities and the most obvious victim of all these is our innocent friend who had to face this unbearable hatred at home everyday and night without knowing what's actually the reason behind all these.
Nobody likes the children of a person who they hate. If
there is hatred between the parents, its probable the parent hate the
child that was the result of the relationship.
