Becoming a member of Lambda Chi Alpha extends above and beyond the benefits of any club or extracurricular activity. The bond a brother experiences lies much deeper. With everyone striving together to attain certain principles and ideals, a strong sense of brotherhood develops among members. To solidify this bond, a number of functions are held throughout the year to promote and sustain brotherhood, such as road trips, camping, and other brotherhood retreats.
From the time you enter the house there will always be a brother to help answer any questions or listen to your concerns. There are always members willing to lend a helping hand. It is our constant mission to develop and strengthen the bonds that will support us throughout our university years and beyond.
Lambda Chi Alpha offers a unique alternative to pledgeship. Our new members are NOT pledges, rather they are Associate Members. They are treated with the same respect as the older members in the house. That means NO hazing during any time of membership, every man deserves to be treated equal. All members share all work duties and responsibilities equally. Associate Members attend chapter meetings and have an equal vote in house matters, and run for offices or positions. This is a rare privilege, which is not offered in traditional pledge programs. The Associate Member program also provides each new member a Big Brother, who acts as a resource of information on the history and ideals of Lambda Chi Alpha. He also is a guide in the application of the principles of our fraternity to daily university life.
