Matthew and Michelle - Our Honeymoon

The first thing we did in Paris was a tour of the Louvre. We were amazed at the artwork not only on the walls, but also in the architecture of the building both inside and out! We managed to see as much of the painting sections as we can especially Da Vinci's work such as the Mona Lisa. The painting is so much smaller than we imagined.

We were also able to experience Paris at night. Each hour after sunset, the Eiffel tower glitters with white lights. It is quite a beautiful sight. The city of Paris itself is astonishing at this time.

The next day we decided to explore more of Paris. We got dropped off at Champs Elysees. I had to take a stop at the Louis Vuitton store. They had 2 very big Louis Vuitton suitcases in front. Unfortunately, the store moved, but just taking a picture by the big suitcases already made my day. We headed over to the Arc d'Triomphe and took the Metro back to our hotel. Unfortunately, the whole Paris was on strike so the Metro was not running. Just when I psyched myself up to use public transportation! We ended up walking a distance to the Eiffel Tower where we managed to go to the second level.

That night we went to see the Moulin Rouge for a dinner and show. The show is unbelievably good. The performers were very talented and topless! I call it Matt's second bachelor party. There was this one act where a huge aquarium slides out from under the stage and a girl dives in and does her dance number-with a few albino snakes. My mouth dropped.

Paris is such a romantic and beautiful city. We had a wonderful time. It was great to spend 2 nights with each other in the City of Lights.
