Before going to Switzerland, we stayed at the Palace Grand Hotel in Varese. It's a beautiful hotel in the Italian Lakes with stunning views of the Lake Of Varese, Lake Maggiore and the Alps. It was built in the early 20th Century. I heard during dinner that there are a lot of ghosts in Northern Italy. That freaked me out. I heard banging noises that night. Matt said it was the tree hitting the window. I'd like to think so.
Lucerne is absolutely gorgeous! Just picture perfect. Our hotel was just within walking distance from the historic and shopping districts. We had lunch at the "Fondue House". It was excellent. After all, this is where fondue started.
It was cold and snowing but that didn't stop me from what I do best... shopping. We walked the famous Chapel Bridge to go to Bucherer. The store had such wide collection of Rolex watches. It was very tempting. I bought a cute cuckoo clock instead.
