12. Institutionalize the Volunteers' Corps (VolCorps).
Realizing the strength that a group of committed volunteers can provide to the Student Council, NKE aims to have the Volunteers' Corps formally institutionalized. This is also in recognition to the importance of sharing leadership through participation in SC management.
13. Scrap the Repressive Grade Requirement.
A true leader is measured by his/her ability to serve and not by his/her grades. NKE believes that no student should be discriminated from running for office on the basis of grades. Every student should be given the equal opportunity to be elected or selected to serve the students.
14. Push for the Strengthening of Student Consultations.
Laboratory and other fee increases have been approved and imposed system-wide due to the lack of transparent and uniform student consultations. Students, being the sector to carry the burden of the continued decline of the University's budget, should be given the opportunity to know, critique and/or oppose proposed fee increases.
15. Establish a science organization that is socially responsive through AGHAM.
Acknowledging the important role of science in shaping society, NKE aims to organize AGHAM. Scientific and technological endeavors should be critically investigated as to their social and economic impact. The products of science and technology must bring about social equity, sustainable development and environmental safeguards at the same time.
