
- We listen to you.
- We complete all necessary documents including Court pleadings.
- We file and arrange for service of all relevant documents.
- We advise you on what evidence and documents that may assist your claim.
- We pay all Court fees (at no cost to you.)
- We obtain preliminary legal advice (at no cost to you) from a Barrister.
- We arrange for your claim to be Conciliated.
- We organise (at no cost to you) an experienced person (usually a Barrister) to attend the Conciliation with you, advise you and conduct all negotiations on your behalf.
- We ensure that any settlement is properly documented.
- We ensure that any settlement money received is promptly paid to you after deduction of our standard success fee.

- UTAC provides free telephone and e-mail advice.
- UTAC prepares court and other documents.
- UTAC pays lodgement fees on your behalf.
- UTAC obtains legal advice to assist you.
- UTAC does not bill you if there is no settlement of your claim.
- UTAC will represent you at the Conciliation and during all settlement negotiations.
- If the agreed settlement is not paid UTAS refers you to a suitably qualified lawyer.
- If the conciliation fails to resolve your claim UTAS will usually arrange for you to receive a formal legal advice (this will often be arranged at no cost to you.)
- The success fee (plus GST) is only payable if the employee and the employer agree to settle the claim.
- If UTAC is successful in obtaining a reinstatement order or an order restraining termination, then the success fee will be calculated as though a settlement had been agreed for the greater of 12 weeks pay or the sum to be paid to you plus 4 weeks pay.

- Yes. If, after talking to us, you do not wish to pay a success fee you may pay an up front fixed agreed fee. If you choose this option you must confirm this arrangement and forward your payment within 7 days of first asking for our assistance.
