Employment Rights and Obligations

An employer is not entitled to discriminate against an employee or to dismiss or demote an employee unlawfully.

If an employee is dismissed or demoted unfairly, the employee may be entitled to compensation.

An employer must pay superannuation and all wage and salary entitlements including redundancy payments due to the employee.

An employer must not engage in bullying, humiliating, intimidatory or discriminatory behaviour.
