Physics and Space Exploration A forum I've opened for the discussion of subjects on Physics and Space Exploration.(New)

The Summer of 2000 there would have been a very interesting sow in the skies. The comet C/1999 S4 (LINEAR) would have been visible. It would have had its maximum visual magnitude between 20 and 25 of July. Unfortunately the comet didn't reach the expected magnitude and exploded under the gravitation of the Sun. Any way an accurate ephemeris is available at the URL: http://cfa-www.harvard.edu/iau/Ephemerides/Comets/1999S4.html. You can also find the orbital elements of the comet and dat files for some planetarium programs (for example they have the dat file for the program HomePlanet).
