Guards
provide protection and policing for the people of Valdemar. If there is
danger, seek help from a member of the Guard. If there is fear in the
air, it is relinquished when a Guard on patrol gallantly strides by. The
Guard is a proud Collegium, training some of Valdemar's bravest, most
noble youths. It is often an overlooked duty, but the fact remains that
if the Guard weren't there, laws would not be enforced, citizens would
be unprotected, the borders would be left unprotected, cities would be
un-policed, and so much more. When one becomes a Guard, it goes without
saying - excitement will be innate in life. Guards
play many roles in Valdemaran society: police, army, militia,
detectives, body guards, patrolmen, messengers, scouts, and the list
goes on. To be a Guard is a vigorous and tireless duty, but you have the
satisfaction of knowing that if it weren't for you, Valdemar could never
have kept its citizens and borders safe from the ominous threat of
attack from without, and within. The Trainees are taught all over Valdemar. There are barracks in Haven and many other garrisons across the country that welcome new recruits who are willing, competent, and noble souls looking to do their part for Valdemar. Guards wear midnight/navy uniforms. |
