Regular Season
Game # 1 - 01/06, 2pm - AWAY at Hot Biscuits
The Rebels solidified their goaltending problems by encouraging
Katherine to wear the Rebels' uniform. In turn, the 7-2
final score reflected the success of the team for the day.
The Rebels scored first on an Elise goal from a Joan
setup pass. The Hot Biscuits countered with a Vikki goal but Elise
and Carol S. scored to end the first period 3-1 in favor of
the Rebels.
Carol H. scored the team's fourth goal via a Carol S. assist
while the Hot Biscuits challenged back on a Nikki goal to make the
score 4-2. As Katherine continued to stop shots, scores by Linda
(2G) and Joan ended the chances of the Hot Biscuits to get back into
the game.
Game # 2 - 01/13, 2pm - AWAY at Ice Queens
The second game of the young season appeared to be a battle between
goaltenders as both teams struggled offensively through the first
period to get a goal. The Ice Queens managed to get the first
goal of the game to take a 1-0 lead into the break.
The second period proved to be another story as the Rebels' turned
on the scoring machine with three goals by Lina and a solo
score by Elise enroute to a 4-1 victory.
Game # 3 - 01/20, 1pm - AWAY at Polar Cats
The Polar Cats had a difficult time getting on track as
Elise single-handedly outscored them 3-2 in the first period
alone. At the break, Linda's two goals and Shann's
score gave the Rebels a 6-2 advantage.
Elise scored another hat trick set of goals in the second period
to be the first Rebels' scorer with six goals in a game. Linda
collected a goal for her hat trick for the day while Shann and
Lina rounded out the scoring attack in the 12-3 win.
Game # 4 - 01/27, 1pm - AWAY at Hot Biscuits
Traci scored the first goal of the game for the Rebels as
the Hot Biscuits were trying to counter. But both netminders
were on their game as the puck never reached the back of the net
for the remainder of the period.
Traci started the scoring in the second period with her second goal
of the game. Lina made it 3-0 before the Hot Biscuits
finally broke up the shutout. Linda and Carol H.
pounded in the next two goals before the Hot Biscuits scored to
end regulation at 5-2 in favor of the Rebels.
Both teams had a penalty shot to give with the Hot Biscuits scoring
against the Rebels' missed attempt for a 5-3 final score.
Game # 5 - 02/10, 2pm - AWAY at Polar Cats
The Polar Cats were tossed aside in this game as Lina
supplied a first period hat trick and a pair of goals by Mary
and Linda. Carol H. tallied the eighth goal of the
first period before the break.
The Polar Cats finally broke into the scoring column on two goals
before Lina obtained her fourth of the day.
Like the previous game, both teams had a penalty shot to give with
the Polar Cats missing against the Rebels' score by Joan in
the 10-2 final.
Game # 6 - 02/17, 2pm - AWAY at Hot Biscuits
The Rebels five game unbeaten streak ended as the Hot Biscuits
took a commanding 4-0 lead going into the break.
Joan scored the Rebels' lone goal at the start of the second
period but the Hot Biscuits continued to roll by scoring three more
times to defeat the Rebels 7-1.
Game # 7 - 02/24, 2pm - AWAY at Ice Queens
Elise's first goal of the game proved to be the game winning
but not the last goal of the day against the Ice Queens. Her
next goal gave the Rebels a 2-0 lead at the break.
Elise scored the first goal of the second period for her hat trick
of the game. Joan then scored next and Elise accomplished
and tied her own record by scoring the next three goals to give her
six goals on the game and a 7-0 regulation ending score.
Both teams had a penalty shot to give with the Ice Queens missing
against the Rebels' score by Traci in the 8-0 final and the
Rebels' first shutout for Katherine of the season.
Game # 8 - 03/03, 12pm - AWAY at Polar Cats
In the previous two meetings between the Rebels and the Polar
Cats, the Rebels outscored the 'Cats 22-5. The first period
was closely played with the Rebels taking a 3-1 lead on goals by
Nikki (subbing in due to a short bench), Elise and
Joan.

scoring opportunities for the bench. At the end of the period,
the Rebels' 14 goals were scored by Elise (4), Nikki (3), Joan (3),
Mary (2), Carol (1) and J.J. (1).
The 17-2 final proved to be the Rebels' most one-sided game (+15)
and a record goals in a period best (14).
Game # 9 - 03/10, 1pm - AWAY at Ice Queens
Theo, filling in for Katherine in net due to a class
schedule conflict, was given a pair of goals each by Traci
and Linda for a first period 4-0 Rebels' lead.
Mary scored the first goal of the second period on a setup
pass from Traci. The Ice Queens then tallied their first
goal of the game to make the score 6-1. Lina scored the
next two Rebels' goals and Carol H. knocked in the Rebels'
ninth score before the Ice Queens picked up their last two goals
to make the final regulation score 9-3 favoring the Rebels.

and Carol Swink scoring to give the Rebels a 2-0 first period
lead.
Linda began the second period scoring with Carole capping the
Rebels goals at four with her second of the game. The Ice Queens
finally knocked the zero off the scoreboard late in the period as
the Rebels cruised to a 4-1 win.
The game victory gave the Rebels their best 10-game season record
(9-1-0), biggest goal differential (+54) and goaltender best record
(Katherine, 7-1-0).
Playoffs
03/24, 1pm - HOME vs Polar Cats

The first playoff game of the day had the #4 seeded Polar Cats
playing the #1 seeded Rebels.
The Polar Cats scored first but Elise later scored to tie it up.
The first period ended at 1-1.
Joan scored on a great pass from Lina in the second to
make it 2-1. The other team tied it up with about 5-6 minutes left, and
then went ahead near the end of the period.
Score at the end of regulation was 3-2 but we had 3 penalty shots and
the Polar Cats had 1. We took our 3 shots first -- Joan scored to tie
the game, Lina scored to make it 4-3 Rebels, and Traci missed on
a chance to get an insurance goal. Lisa, subbing in for the Polar Cats,
took the shot for the opposition and scored to make it 4-4.
The ref said we would then get upto 4 shots per team to break the tie.
Joan took our first shot and scored! The opposition missed. Lina took
a shot and missed while Katherine saved the next shot. Traci
then took our third shot and made it this time, so the score was 6-4
Rebels... and Katherine stopped the third and final shot to give us
win.
Championship
03/27, 7pm - HOME vs Hot Biscuits
Courtesy of Mary
The HTHL 2000 Winter Championship game featured the first and
second place finishers of the hosting Rebels and the Hot
Biscuits.
Lina scored first for the Rebels against a score of the
Hot Biscuits. The period ended with no penalties and 1-1.
Linda and Carol H. collected the Rebels final two
goals but the Hot Biscuits came back to make the game tied 3-3.
The Hot Biscuits later scored the winning goal with 15 seconds
left in the game.
We lost the final 4-3 as it appeared we did not play our usual
game. Katherine was outstanding in net; it was a very
close game and we would have lost by a lot more without her.
As Carol H. or Linda said afterward, "They didn't win this game....
We LOST it!!"
