| Julian and Lyla joke around about an arranged marriage between Valerie and Tomas. We are happy that they can play together at least. | Tomas Dickerson was born 6/18/2002.
Tomas is the son of Julian Kan and Anthony Dickerson. Lyla used to work with Julian at Razorfish. Julian's family moved to Hong Kong just before Tomas was born. That is where Julian's parents live. Because of the job market, Julian, Anthony and Tomas moved back to Boston. |

| Michael Weiskopf was born 3/29/2002.
Michael, "Mikey" is the son of Bess and Andy Weiskopf. Lyla has known Bess since high school. The Weiskopfs live in Needham, just one town over from Lyla. |
Mikey came to visit Valerie for the first time in February. He was already standing up and done with baby food at that point. Valerie was just starting to be aware of other people at this age (2 months). |

| Kevin Maxwell Liao was born 6/22/2003.
Kevin is the son of Caroline and Hao Liao. Lyla has known Caroline since high school. Caroline also worked with Lyla briefly at EDS. |
This was Lyla and Valerie's first visit with Kevin. Kevin was born just over 3 weeks early. The photo on the left was our second visit with Kevin who grew so fast! |

| Michael "Misha" Ocheretyanny was born in April, 2001.
Michael is the son of Irina and Igor Ocheretyanny. Lyla worked with Irina at Fidelity, and Igor went to High School with Lyla. |
These photos were right before Misha's 2nd birthday. He really enjoyed playing with Valerie. He did not like to see her cry, so he would pet her head to make her feel better. |

| Zachary Frederick Ritterbusch was born in January of 2000.
Ethan Foster Ritterbusch was born in February of 2002. Zach and Ethan are the sons of Tim and Amy Ritterbusch. Matt has known Tim since he was 6. Matt went to elementary school, high school and college with Tim. Matt went to college with Amy. |
Lyla and Valerie try to have playdates with Zach, Ethan, and Amy at least once a month. |

| Samuel Piedmonte was born on 7/28/2002.
Sam is the son of Stacy and Michael Piedmonte, Lyla's friends from her former job at EDS. |
The Piedmontes moved to Virginia, so we do not get to see them as often. Hopefully, we will visit them soon. |

Nathan Kelly was born in July, 2000.
Nathan is the son of Becky and Jeff Kelly. Matt has known Becky since grade school because they lived in the same town. Amy Ritterbusch, Becky Kelly, and Lyla have all gotten together with their kids for play dates. Although Valerie is the youngest, she still enjoys watching all the other kids. She started to sit up for the first time at one of these play dates. Lyla thinks it is because Valerie wanted to imitate the kids, and since they were all walking and crawling, she wanted to as well. |

| Ethan Woo was born in March of 2002.
Ethan is the son of Dana and Ed Woo. Lyla has known Ed since high school. |
Ethan has an older sister, Allison, and Valerie has been to two playdates with them. They live close by though, so we hope to see them often. |

| Tyler Smith was born on 5/5/2000.
Tyler is the son of Christine and Steve Smith, Lyla's friends from high school. |
Tyler likes to run around, and Valerie can't quite keep up with him yet. Valerie had a playdate with Tyler and Michael, and they all enjoyed playing in the neighbor's playground. |

| Charlie Glen Richards was born in mid-August of 2003.
Charlie is the son of Marc and Heidi Richards. Matt has known Marc since college, and they lived together after college. Charlie is a very good baby - he sleeps a lot, and he does not fuss very much. He has an older sister, Molly. |
