9 January 2008 - Hello and Happy New Year!
First off, I want to draw everyone's attention to the date, because it's an important one. Today, the ninth day of the first month, is Severus Snape's birthday! Yep, Sev's another year older.
Coincidentally, I have a new fic to celebrate. It wasn't planned to be finished or to come out now, I merely managed to (finally!) finish it and my last beta got it back to me yesterday. It is called Her Duty and is about the difficult realization Minerva McGonagall comes to during the first rise of Voldemort; about just what it means to be a professor during wartime. It is a short fic, but one I started two years or more ago. I wrote most of it in one go and then just couldn't make the connection between what I had and the last paragraph I wanted. Looking over it during the Christmas holiday, it just all seemed to fall into place in two minutes. So here it is, I hope you like it!
Also, I would like to assure people that I have neither abandoned nor forgotten about Echoes from the Past. I am working on the next chapter!
