T. For with your Easter you have given life to the world.
1L. From the Gospel according to Matthew
After the Sabbath, as Sunday morning was dawning, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. Suddenly there was a violent earthquake; an angel of the Lord came down from heaven, rolled the stone away, and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. The guards were so afraid that they trembled and became like dead men. The angel spoke to the women, "You must not be afraid," he said. "I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has been risen, just as he said. Come here and see the place where he was lying. Go quickly, now, and tell his disciples. 'He has been risen from death, and now he is going to Galilee ahead of you; there you will see him!' Remember what I have." (28,1-7).
2L. A blasting announcement: life has exploded
Jesus is born at night. Jesus is risen in a night. He is born in a poor cradle, he is re-born in a cold tomb. God's style assumes things that are the symbol of negation, night-tomb, to make the victory of those things that are the symbol of novelty, dawn-life, reflect even more clearly.
Daylight bursts in the womb of night. Life breaks out in the darkness of the tomb.
Yet today we often hear: Has night fallen on the planet of youth? No work, no ideals, no future, no hope. Many of them lye in the tomb of violence, organized crime, inertia, depression, oppression, and disappointment. To live often means to pretend to live. But that announcement sounds loud: "Be not afraid! I know you are searching for Jesus. He is no longer here. He has really risen." Life has exploded more surely.
The young faithful are called upon to be angels, meaning credible announcers for all others of this extraordinary news. And just like the angel of the beginning, they have the duty to reassure: Be not afraid. The Risen precedes you.
Man, always, especially today, is fear; that is why he fears and why he is feared. So much more, then, this is real for who faces life. Despite the facade of safety and freedom from prejudice. Today is no longer the time of the crusades: free Christ's sepulchre. Today there is a need to free every poor Christ from his sepulchre. Free the youth from fear. Help them join freedom and hope.
The dawn has begun, you cannot stop it.
You can shoot on the flowers of all the gardens. You cannot stop spring from bursting.
T. Rejoice, Virgin Mother: Christ has been risen. Hallelujah!
C. Jesus risen, the world needs to be reconverted. The new evangelization calms the bewildered heart from so many messages. Let the announcement always sound new. Make women messengers enthusiastic of the root of the new life: your Easter. Operate your transplant: new head, new heart, new life. Let us think the way you think, let us love the way you love, let us plan the way you plan, let us serve the way you serve.
