Xunantunich is farther but still possible for cruise ship visitors.


 Cahal Pech -------- a Mayan site in the town of San Ignacio,
a possible tour for cruise ship visitors and a must for visitors staying in the Cayo District


Lamanai ----------- a beautiful Mayan site located on the New River
A drive to Orange Walk and then a 45-minute boat ride on the river,
it is possible for cruise ship visitors if they are among the first getting off the ship.


                       Caracol --------- the view from the top of of one of the tallest manmade structures in Belize  - 43 meters high
Caracol is too far for cruise ship visitors, but an impressive sight for tourists staying in the Cayo District.
