VKROC= Vista Kiara Residents Owners Committee
TVMS = Triomphe Vista Management Sdn Bhd |
Item 1: Updates from items raised from previous month’s meeting |
-
VKROC thanks TVMS for
organizing the dragon dance which was very well attended
-
VKROC
thanks TVMS for putting tinting on the doors of badminton courts
-
Floor
traps have been installed at many of the drains. However, we continue to
have poor drainage in the tennis courts and now also at the outdoor play
area (near the see-saw). Can TVMS review this problem as the accumulation
of water is causing unnecessary wear and tear?
-
VKROC recognizes TVMS
effort in repainting the wall at the barbecue area (opposite the car
wash). We notice that the walls are already looking dirty – maybe due to
moisture or water seepage. Can TVMS look into this (the wall on path
besides public toilets to swimming pool is similarly stained)?
|
Item 2: Outstanding items for TVMS from previous month’s meeting |
-
Can TVMS update VKROC
on the progress of installation of an automatic card access system at
guardhouse entrance?
-
Can TVMS update VKROC
on the progress of converting one tennis court into a multi-purpose play
area allowing football/basketball/cycling?
-
Nothing seems to have
been done about the build-up of water on the plot between between Vista
Kiara and Laman Suria. Can VKROC write to DBKL?
-
Some
of the benches around the swimming pool area and outside the badminton
courts appear damaged and about to break. These benches pose a potential
accident as well as undermine the image of VKROC being a well-maintained
and high quality place. Can TVMS repair/replace/discard these benches?
-
Can
TVMS update VKROC on the status of installing cameras at the entrance to
lobby areas including the lower ground floor
-
Can
TVMS update VKROC on the progress of installing additional lights (one as
spotlight on visitor sign, another as general streetlight to improve
visibility) at the visitor parking bay area?
|
Item 3: Any Other Business |
-
The
water quality continues to be poor for a day or so after the backwash. We
understand that this is not necessarily the case and rinsing after
backwash can improve the water quality (albeit use extra water). Can TVMS
check with the supplier that our backwash system is performing as per
specifications and that we are following all the correct procedures?
-
VKROC
notices many cars inside the condominium still do not display the proper
2003 Vista Kiara residents sticker. We urge TVMS to be strict in
enforcement and to prohibit cars without proper stickers from entering. We
encourage errant owners to do their part and obtain proper car stickers.
-
VKROC sympathises with
residents in block B affected by the sudden water shortages on 7 Feb
evening and 10 Feb morning. We hear that this was caused by problems with
the pumps. We understand that parts can break anytime, but VKROC expects
TVMS to conduct regular routine maintenance and checks. As far as we know,
a full water tank should last at least one day, and even two or three days
in some cases. Can TVMS confirm how long does a full water tank last, that
we have a back-up pump, and that we conduct daily routine maintenance
checks?
-
VKROC understands that
there was a problem with the intercom system not being able to open the
lobby doors for a number of days. TVMS decided to instruct guards to open
the door for visitors as well as bypass the intercom system for all
residents even though many resident intercom units were functioning okay.
VKROC believes that it would have been better to continue using the
intercom to screen all visitors, and that in the event the lobby door
cannot be opened remotely, residents should come down to the lobby to open
door for visitors, as before.
-
VKROC
understands that some residents who are renting second car parking bays
(opposite the visitor’s bays) are finding their places being occupied by
visitors. VKROC recommends that TVMS move the existing “Clamp zone” sign
which is next to the visitor parking bays, to the other side of the road
to discourage visitors from inadvertently parking in resident bays? VKROC
also suggests that TVMS consider painting the words “visitors” outside the
parking bays for better visibility.
-
The
construction at our neighbours continues to be a nuisance with work
continuing on Sundays. VKROC encourages residents to contact DBKL 24 hour
hotline number 03-4022-0033 to lodge complaints. Can TVMS write a letter
to Garden International School
highlighting that many Vista Kiara residents complain about the noisy
construction, especially on Sundays, and that the school must be
considerate of its neighbours.
-
VKROC understands that
the restaurants and pubs in Desa Sri Hartamas are also generating
excessive noise late at night. We suggest residents complain to DBKL or
the local Mont Kiara police station (tel number 03-6201-8322) the next
time this happens so that action can be taken immediately
-
VKROC
believes that the blue “Private parking” sign at the front of the
guardhouse looks rather tacky and inconsistent with the image of Vista
Kiara. Can TVMS look into replacing this sign?
-
VKROC notices that the
children’s ball play area has fallen into disuse now that there are no
more balls there. We invite residents to share any ideas on how to better
utilize this area and will discuss this item again at next month’s meeting
|
Item 4: Next meeting (usually held on the last Saturday of the
month) |
-
Our next meeting will be at 4pm on Saturday 29 March 2003
at the usual venue in front of the badminton courts
-
Residents are reminded that we have an
newsgroup set up where the electronic version of these minutes are
published as well as general discussion. Anyone can join by sending a
blank email to
