Welcome to the OrbSorc Vitabuild Guide by Z3phBoss Guide![]() BaalHistory: The brother of Diablo and Mephisto. He has the most hit points, casts a whole crapload of curses, and has some very nasty attacks. He is found in the Woldstone Chamber in Act 5. Attacks: Fiery Nova [A flaming nova of unholy energy] Mana Inferno [An inferno type attack that drains mana] Deadly Effigy [Baal creates a clone of himself that deals normal damage, but lesser HP] Physical attack Hoarfrost [A V-shaped ice attack that knocks back everything in its path] Tentacles Curse [Baal can use almost any curse] How his attacks work: Like Mephisto, Baal tends to cast many spells in a short period of time. If he summons an effigy, the two Baals will combo attack anything that gets near. His Hoarfrost will also knock back anything that gets near him. Althouigh this sound threatening, most of his spells don't do much damage, and is more annoying than deadly. How to kill: Make sure you have the Act 5 Level 2 Worldstone Waypoint. Before going in, make sure you have shiver armor casted. Then teleport up to the Throne of Destruction, destroy all the minions withi, and go into the Worldstone keep. Teleport up to Baal and cast static field until he goes to half, teleport away, then orb him to death. Although its easy to just stand there and orb him to death, try to weave in and out of his attacks so you don't have to buy potions. Most of his attacks like the ice attack will do nothing due to the sorceress' resist. This is probably the easiest boss to kill with the Vita Sorceress, but the problem is getting pass all the minions, and the duration of the fight [which can last for quite a while] makes some tread away from Act 5 while Magic finding. Watch out for: Tentacles: They can pop up out of nowhere, and if there is lag when the sorceress enters the Worldstone Chamber, the mass of tentacles can easily kill the sorceress. Effigy-Hoarfrost-Mana Inferno Combos: If Baal clones himself, one of them tends to cast Hoarfrost, while the other will cast Mana Inferno if the sorceress gets too close. This drains her mana, stuns her, and opens her up for repeated attacks. Be sure to have a rejuvination potion handy to chug and teleport away. |
