| The following rubric was developed
as a way to evaluate individual students. To encourage group participation
and cooperation, part of the student's grade is based on how well he
or she works within the assigned group. Scores on the right side of the grid may be adjusted based on the weight the teacher chooses to give to each dimension of the WebQuest. The author has tried to make allowance for students who may not be comfortable actually portraying a musician in first person. While such portrayal should add to the interest of the presentation and also to the depth of the student's research, the oral presentation is not the only desired outcome of the WebQuest. The overall goal is to challenge students to think more deeply about music in our culture and its influence on society, history, and on us as individuals. |
