This WebQuest is designed specifically for high school music students.   However, it can easily be adapted for college  classes such as Music Appreciation and Music History.  The level of expected workmanship would simply need be to raised.  Changing the weights of the Rubric  would accomplish this.

Musically, there really are no prerequisites for this WebQuest.  Most students will already  be active music consumers.  They may need some introductory  instruction concerning the business of music:  How do we get it?   Who makes the decisions regarding  music style, format,  etc.?  What is copyright law and why is it necessary?
