Events

Events are the actual competitions between Noul of certiain disciplines. Members can join events, or host one of their own. Events are another way of earning SS and making your Noul more popular in the community.

Noul who participate in events earn Points. 1st gets three show points, 2nd and 3rd get two, and 4th, 5th, and 6th get one. All other noul recieve no show points. After earning so many points, and Noul will earn a title. The titles are as follows:

Novice: 0-10
Intermediate: 11-20
Advanced: 21-30
Excellent: 31-40
Champion: 41-50
Grand Champion: 51-100
Star Champion: 100+

How Events Work

Events are very complicated. A host (usually myself) will hold an event in a certain discipline. Each has its own set fees, but we'll get to that later.

First off, there will be a deadline. A week is usually the longest amount given for Noul to enter an even. After that week, the host no longer accepts participants and begins judging.

Judging is based completley off of stats. To explain, we'll use the Discipline "Tracking" for example.

1. The major stats will be added together, and divided by the total number of stats. Get rid of the decimal point, and just use the whole number that pops up.
Eg. Stamina: 35/100, Speed: 63/100, Intelligence:80/100 = 178/300 = 0.59 (rounded to the nearest tenth) = 59

2. After doing this for each Noul entered in the event, list the percentages in order from least to greatest.
Eg. 10, 25, 25, 41, 44, 59, 63, 76, 80

3. Give numbers to each of the Noul, according to their placement in the numberline. Make sure each number is different!
Eg. 59 = 6 numbers (16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21)

...or, if there are any percentages that are the same, award them the same amount of numbers
Eg. 25 and 25 will both recieve 2 numbers (2,3 and 4,5), which would make our 59 have the following numbers instead: (13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18)

4. Find a randomizer (http://www.random.org works well), enter your highest and lowest number, and click 'randomize'
Eg. 1 - 42

5. Take whatever number came up first on the list, and that's your winner! The Noul will place as the numbers are listed in the randomizer, but keep in mind that each Noul can only have one place (whichever comes up first).
Eg. 7 20 30 3 33 1 21 32 28 23 40 19 17 5 11 4 35 14 36 24 25 42 39 26 27 10 15 8 6 16 34 29 37 13 22 41 2 38 12 31 18 9
First Place: Noul with "41", Second Place: Our 59!, Third Place: Noul with "76", etc.

Hosting an Event

In order to host an event, you need to pay a fee. Events can hold a maximum of 30 Noul, and are priced according to Title.

Title: Hosting Fee/Entering Fee/1st Prize/2nd Prize/3rd Prize

Novice: 50SS/10SS/50SS/25SS/10SS
Intermediate: 100SS/25SS/100SS/50SS/25SS
Advanced: 150SS/50SS/150SS/100SS/50SS
Excellent: 200SS/75SS/200SS/150SS/100SS
Champion: 400SS/100SS/400SS/200SS/100SS
Grand Champion: 600SS/200SS/600SS/400SS/200SS
Star Champion: 1000SS/400SS/1000SS/700SS/500SS

Take note that the prize money will come from the one hosting the event. The amount paid to host the even, and the fees paid to join it, go towards the prizes. The host keeps the difference, or whatever is left over after the prize money has been handed out.
