Training is a fairly simple process which gives you great benefits. Through training you can increase your Noul's stats, make them better at events, and earn more show points and SS.
First off, you're going to want to choose a discipline or two to teak your Noul. You may choose up to two, but no more. It costs 20SS to train a Noul in a discipline. The disciplines are as follows:
Racing - Major Stats: Speed and Stamina - Moderate Stats: Agility
Show - Major Stats: Conformation and Obediance
Tracking - Major Stats: Stamina, Intelligence, and Speed - Moderate Stats: Obediance
Earthdog (Hunting and worrying prey underground) Major Stats: Speed and Intelligence
Fighting Major Stats: Strength and Defense - Moderate Stats: Intelligence, Stamina, and Agility
Pulling Major Stats: Strength and Conformation
Obediance Major Stats: Obediance and Intelligence
Agility Major Stats: Agility and Speed - Moderate Stats: Intelligence
Dressage (a mix of show and obediance) Major Stats: Conformation, Intelligence, and Obediance - Moderate Stats: Stamina
Keep those major and moderate stats in mind when you're choosing a discipline to train your Noul in. A Noul who has high stats in Intelligence, Strength, and Conformation, but low stats in Speed and Agility, is not going to make a great racer. You can train stats up, of course, but it's much easier to work with already moderate natural stats.
After you've chosen your Noul's discipline(s) you may now find a trainer. Each trainer may not train all the different stats, and their prices can vary so you may have to look around. You cannot train a Noul until thier current lesson is over, but there is no limit to the number of times you can train them.
After training you're Noul can go up a total of 5 stats total. You may have stats going up for all that the trainer trains, but the total won't exceed five. You can specify what stat(s) you'd like your Noul to have trained though, so no worries about going up in Conformation when your Noul is trained in agility.
