Green Valley Lake
Nestled in a valley right below Big Bear, Green Valley Lake is "frozen in time". Composed almost entirely of small residential cabins, the homeowners there are supported by a small corner grocery store, a diner, and a few other resident support businesses.
One of the most visually pleasing sights is the actual lake. Though small, it is home to many small rowboats and morning fishermen.
Green Valley Lake gets the bulk of the snowload, as the valley is high-sided and traps a lot of weather. It´s the perfect location for vacation getaways, though there are several full-time homeowners. Many locals refer to Green Valley Lake as "the Norman Rockwell site of the mountains". |
