The family seemed to have resided in Crooksville as far as I can tell. Alice is buried in Black Oak Cemetary, Deavertown, Morgan Co., Ohio. Plot: Row L Stone 2.

You will notice some interesting things from these census records.

In 1920 we find a granddaughter, Alice M. Eppley age 5, living with George and Alice. Then in the (April 15) 1930 Census (looking under just Alice Eppley) it  turns out to be Lydia's STEP-daughter. They are living in Licking Co., Newark, Ohio. It says Alice M. was born about 1915. Lydia married a man named Frank W. Roberts. In 1930 he was 36. Frank was married before Lydia and had Alice M. with his previous wife. Lydia is aged 33 and they have a son together named George F. Roberts who is 11. Alice M. is now 15.

Just for the record: I found "a"  Frank W. Roberts in the 1900 Census at age 7 which would make this particular Frank W. at the right age as above. He is living with his parents, George L., 49 (b. 1851) and Isabella J., 47 (b. 1853)  and siblings Lyda, 15 (b. 1855), Fred, 12 (b.1887), and Lola M., 9 (b.1891). They are living in Bristol, Morgan Co., Ohio. Census lists Frank W. being born in 1892. It also lists his father, George L. as a blacksmith.

Also in the 1930 census I found a Mary E. Ogg age 30 living with them and the relationship to HOH was "daughter". I suppose it could be DIL, but that would have meant she married Charles who was six years younger than her. I'm assuming that she is Ella. Ella's middle initial was M. and the ages jive. But who, in the 1930 census is Donna age 9? I guess between 1920 and 1930 Alice could have become pregnant one last time. That would account for Donna. Alice was 53. It's not unheard of. But when you go on to read her obituary you see she is survived by a son, Charles, of the home, three daughters; Mrs. F.W. Roberts of Newark; Mrs. Cecil Brumage of near Roseville, and Miss Ella Ogg of Roseville. No Donna. Did she die?
