Etta Anderson-Hill

Etta May Anderson was the one and only daughter of Oliver and Sarah Anderson. She was born May (I've had three different months listed for Etta. But I found her obit at the Morgan Co., Historical Society and although it was typed out by someone and not the actual obit from the paper, it says May 17, 1885) of 1885 in Morgan Co., Ohio. She died in March 31, 1983 at the Morgan Co., Care Center. She was 98. She married a man named Jessie Bell "J.B." Hill on July 5th, 1902. Jessie died January 15, 1954.

Note: My mother doesn't like to hear this but Sarah does resemble my mother, especially the nose and tight thin lips.

Their children

 She is buried in Malta Cemetery Sec 2 Row 28 Stone 11. Her husband, Jessie is buried right along with her at Stone 12. He was born 1880 and died 1954. He was 73. If you click Etta and Jessie's name up above you'll see their headstones that Bruce, Omar (my husband) and I found on a road trip to Malta cemetery on October 16th, 2004.

"Mrs. Etta Hill of Malta was removed from her home in Malta Sunday to the home of her daughter Mrs. Lionel Roberts in Stockport in Fisher's Ambulance."

In the 1910 Census it lists Oliver as HOH and being 41, Sarah as 50 (although I think the years got messed up), Arthur single and 21, and a granddaughter, Mina at age 7. Her parents were Ohio born.
