Here are some quick places to go to read about books.

• The New York Review of Books isn't just a review of books. It's a generous reminder of what book culture can still be. Stop here and enjoy youreself.
• There's no way around the New York Times' Book Section. Whether it's daily reviews or the Sunday Review, or even the lowly Best Seller List, you'll find them there. This is little more then a clearing house for what passes as taste, but it is probably the most important one of its kind.
• The Hungry Mind Review offers an antidote to the Big City Paper review.
• More clearing houses: The Boston Globe's Book Reviews, The Los Angeles Times' Books and Talks contains links to all their reviews, including their Sunday Supplement. The Washington Post also has a Books & Reading site.
