V aljean was one of a group of Immortals found after their mortal deaths by Rebecca Horne. He was taught about his Immortality and the ways to survive through swordsmanship, with Rebecca his teacher. He was also given a piece of the legendary crystal we now know to be the Methusaleh Stone. Henri survived through the centuries with the skill her learned there. But it was one of his peers that would bring him down. Luther wanted the whole crystal for its legendary powers. Valjean found this out and gave his piece to his secretary who gave it to her son. Valjean was then killed by Luther, but the crystal was safe until Luther's thugs stole it. Valjean's stone was regained by Amanda Darieux and Duncan MacLeod.
