Ascot Roadster

Bill Spear - American Bantam Design Inspirations

The American Bantam has had a strong influence on the overall concept of the Ascot Roadster.  Clearly it has served as an inspiration in both size and concept.

Bill Spear, (American Bantam Web Pages) collector of Bantam cars and designer, has contributed greatly to the project with his insight and suggestions.  Below you will find the possible great grandfather of the Ascot Roadster, as well as several of Spear's drawings used in the development of the Ascot concept.

It is important to realize that the wheelbase of these amazing little cars is only 75" (compared to 85" for the Ascot Roadster).
