What I do have to announce is a CHANGE in how players are accepted for the tournaments:

For the past two tournaments, we were unable to get 16 players to play.

16 players DID sign up, but not everyone showed up, and even with substitute players we were unable to get full brackets. So I’ve decided from now on, the tournaments will be based on 8 players instead of 16.

I will keep allowing players to sign up until the tournament date regardless of the number of players already signed up. What that means is the first 8 people are guaranteed a spot, the next 8 (#9-16) is on a ‘waiting list’—IF someone from the first 8 (#1-8) not show up, #9-16 will get to take their spots.

BUT IF 16 people sign up...then I will make the tournament based on a 16 player bracket—but if 16 players do not show up when it’s game time—the bracket will be reduced back to the original 8 players. And that basically means players #9-15 cannot play because there is no 16th player.

Spots are assigned on a first come first serve basis and the spot reservation form will be available 1 week from the tournament dates—in this case the 18th.

I think this change will keep the tournaments more efficient. :) GL N HF!
