Online Games Runescape: - Quite possibly one of the best RPG (Role Playing Games) I have ever played. This is an advanced, java-based 3-D shared world along the lines of Everquest, but in the spirit of the old paper-based 'dungeons and dragons' game. You move your character through a detailed world, completing quests, gaining experience in areas as diverse as cooking, mining, construction and of course, attack, defense, strength, etc. A warning - if you are an addictive personality and enjoy RPG games, but you don't have much time on your hands - you might not want to try this game. Clever, challenging, fun, funny and very nicely programmed. Frequent updates keep the game fresh. Free Arcade: - Free java games on the web. Some of these are faithful reproductions of old video game favourites. Great when you need a mental health break. Yahoo Games: - Some great time wasters here, group games and team games, but also some great single player ones. Personally I am a fan of Euchre, which is a four-handed card game - I hone my skills occasionally here. I play chess too, and get whupped frequently ;-) |
