Membership into the silk and majorette squads is by audition.  All perspective members must be at least entering their sophomore year.  Auditions are usually in late May.  Prior to auditions there are three after school practices where basic skills will be taught.  The routines to "On Wisconsin" and the "Alma Mater" are also taught.  Those wishing to try-out for captain are also required to make up their own 64 count routine to perform at auditions.

Drum Major auditions are usually in early August.  They differ from year to year and are solely at the discretion of the current director.  This year, all students wishing to be drum major should also attend the mini camp.  They will help in teaching the new members the basics.  A drum major will be chosen based upon his or her leadership skills and conducting after the camp.
