William Blount/Blunt and wife Polly

The first record I have of William Blount is in the 1820 census of Hardin Co TN. Census show him with one male(16-26) one male(under 10) one female(16-26) one female(under 10). He entered land (13 acres) in Hardin Co TN November, 1824. He appears in the Sangamon Co ILL census in 1830 with two males under 5, one male 5-10, one male 20-30, two females 5-10, one female 20-30. William was living four doors from Benjamin Blount. William was married to Polly (her last name may have been Riley or French). They married in TN, but no marriage record has been found. They had six children: Irena born in TN, Mary Ann born in TN, William Riley born in TN, Jonathan born in TN, Isaac born in ILL, Louisa born in ILL. William Blount/Blunt died about 1854.

As forklore goes, Willam and Reading Blount were brothers and migrated to ILL from Hardin Co TN together.
