DESPITE battling against rumours of the formation of a breakaway elite Nomads side, boardroom concerns over managerial policy, and the inability to hold a cup of coffee steady, Wirral's finest romped to a 5-0 win over Blu FC.

Boosted by a record number supporting from the touchline, Nomads got off to a bright start, with Pedro scoring twice in the opening 10 minutes.

First he collected a failed clearance and shot high past the goalkeeper, and minutes later, after being found at the far post by Matt, he shot low into the bottom left corner from 12 yards.

Nomads eased off and it was not until halfway through the second period that they added a third, with Sean rounding the goalkeeper and finishing from a tight angle.

After Dave added the fourth while sitting on his arse, an inspired substitution led to the fifth.

With only his second kick of the match, Steve timed his run to perfection and sealed the points for Nomads from close range with either his left or right foot (showing the kind of touch that can only be gained from practising with a bouncy ball and playing PES3).
