A BELOW-PAR performance saw Nomads crash out of some weirdly named cup at windy Lingham.

With a squad depleted by absences and injuries, Tommy was forced to tinker with the starting line-up and field a previously unused back four.

Yet Nomads took control early on and went close through Pedro and Dave before mistakes crept in to give GFS the lead after half an hour.

Despite the setback Nomads continued to create chances and remained composed at the back as they went in search of an equaliser.

But further errors in the second half handed GFS their second and third goals, while the referee failed to award handball against their striker as he ran through to score their fourth.
