A good victory gave the Nomads a double over the early season league leaders in a game full of firsts. It was the first ever unchanged line-up, Grant's first ever goal and the first time I've ever seen a linesman sent off.

The Townfield scallies took an early lead but were soon pegged back as Grant struck from close range in a goalmouth scramble and then Pedro made it 2-1 after a fine through-ball from Dave.

After half time, each side tucked away a penno to make it 3-2 before Tommy powered home a header and Matt ran unchallenged from his own half to nutmeg former Nomads keeper Richie.

Linesman Bob jumped to the head of the Nomads disciplinary queue by getting a red card for abusing the ref from the sidelines. It all ended well, however, with Bob and the ref having a hug at the end and Bob donating £50 to Did's drinking fund.
