In the IC Design tutorial section we will go through the steps of building a starndard cell from a transistor level, creating the logic symbol and finally testing it using HSPICE (or any other simulation tool). The standard cell is first create on the transistor level in the Schematic View. Once the standard cell as been created we also want to make a corresponding symbol for the type of logic the standard cell performs, this is done in the Symbol View. Once these two things have been done we want to simulate the standard cell by using HSPICE, making sure the the logic is correct and the rise and falls times are acceptable.
