When Bill started playing
bridge, the Culbertson Honor Trick count was in vogue.
That was in the 1940's. Not until the early 1970's, however, did
he begin to play
duplicate. He studied with bridge professional James Murphy in
Chesapeake, Virgina,
using what was then known as Eastern Scientific methods.
In those early days Bill also studied bidding with Bobby Goldman employing the Aces Scientific system.
In the late 1970's playing with his wife Joy, Bill won the championship of the Lower Peninula in Virginia, and had some success winning events at Mid Atlantic sectional tournaments.
Then his career as a CPA partner in an international accounting firm and later as a computer software publisher interrupted his bridge playing for about 15 years. It was not until late 1998 that Bill began playing serious bridge again. When he resumed playing he had accumulated about 225 master points. In the last two years he has reached 500 master points and is now playing as a bronze life master.
It was during this period, in his efforts to add to his success that he encountered the "The Partnership Desk" problem that has led him to offer his services to others who want to maximize their enjoyment and their success playing tournament bridge.
Let Bill help you achieve your bridge playing goals, as he was able to do for himself.
