[Note: Double headstone purchased by descendants of
Elijah & Christena NEAL NICHOLS, my great-grandparents.
I believe Christena's death date sometime after 1910,
but no definitive proof. Also, her name is misspelled --
should read "Christena." Elijah still has original
headstone which has a closed hand with index finger pointing
to heaven at the top, & verse at bottom reads "O glorious
hour O blest abode Our father is near the throne of God And
flesh and sin no more control The sacred pleasures of his soul"
-- birth & death data the same. Christena also has old,
unreadable, fieldstone marker. He was the son of William &
#1Jane LILLY NICHOLS; she was the daughter of John & Ann
O'DELL NEIL/NEAL.]
