History Team of the Century As part of the celebration of 100 years of Brisbane Grade Cricket each Club was asked to select their best team during that time. The following 12 players (in batting order) were selected . This team was recognised at a QCA dinner on 00 Oct 1997. Wynnum Manly had at that time been in the first grade competition for 36 seasons. Statistics are current as at 23 March 1997.
"World Series Wynnum" The years 1976 to 1989 were great years for the Wynnum Manly first Grade side. During that period, the side made the semis on 11 out of the 13 seasons, and won premierships in 80/81, 81/82, and 82/83. In each of these finals, the side lost on the first innings, coming back to win each game outright. During those years, the club won the club championship 3 times and the one day competition 3 times. As a club, across all grades, we contested 28 finals and won 8 premierships. Individual performances during the period, 4 x 200s, 141 centuries, 9 hat-tricks, and 7 wickets in an innings 30 times. They earned the title of "World Series Wynnum" not surprising when you look at the playing personnel available. Those in the photograph of the 1982/83 Premiership side, taken at Toombul ground after
