birds of the same feather
here is a copy of a news item in the malayala manorama,
a malayalam daily, dated 18 feb 2006,
wherein the police in trivandrum openly admit that they are on
"friendy terms" with criminals and use these "friendly criminals"
to trap the other members of their fraternity! the report says
that senior police officers were justifying
this aspect and was claiming that any action against this practice
is going to have a negative impact on the morale of the "police men"!
there is no free lunch. so one of the things that comes to mind in
the above context is
how does the police men reward the informers who, they themselves
have admitted, are criminals, for the services rendered?
the answer is obvious.
the two sides of the same fake coin
this news did not come as a big surprise for fellows like me who have been facing
the ire of the spy net work for quite some time now. in fact
the spy net work of the police and the criminal net work
in trivandrum are the two sides of the same fake coin. incidentally
some time back the then city police commissioner himself had lamented
that he does not have any idea what the spies are upto! they are
a rule unto themselves it looks.
cultivating criminals
minor criminals (as long as they are minor criminals) are cultivated by the spies
and used as informers. after a period of time these minor criminals
thanks to the support of the e_mans
mature into major players, outgrow the spies and get out of hand.
now the spy looks for others to sort out this chap. so in effect the spies
ensure that there is a regular supply of criminals. indeed the spy is a far
more vicious enemy of the society than the criminals themselves.
it is not only to trap other criminals that the spies use their "friends".
if you are one of those not keen on paying obeisance to the all powerful
spy net work, the very same "friends of the e_mans"
will be let loose on you. and this was exactly what happened to me
at 2100hrs on the night of 14 february 2006.
