I stare
          numb
          I look
          empty

          Echoes,
          voices,
          laughter,
          closer they come

          Chaotic mind
          mixed emotions
          a strange feeling
          of loneliness

           looking back
           moving on
           at the crossroads

           alone
           voices again
           farther, farther
           shadows, glimpses
           of  yesterday

            peace
            contentment
            so out of reach
            but I long

            I realize
            lost cause
            a gamble
            I made
            still lost

           SOMEDAY
            a dream
          YESTERDAY
            a memory
           TODAY
           a reality
