So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. Gen:1:27-28

Welcome to HavenRest Farm.
The history of the farm is centered around the old farmhouse. Built in 1884 and remodeled in 1965, the farm was the place to come each summer vacation for the old Homecoming Meetings. The Tabernacle (open sided barn) across from the hay barn was fitted with wood pews and a lectern for the nightly meetings that took place in decades past. Hundreds of Christians from a variety of denominations, came from across North America to gather together for these summer homecomings. You would see cars, buses, tents and campers scattered across the pastures. It was 5 days of fellowship with friends and family.

The current 2-lane roadway is the only access from the east ridge in the mid valley region. State Highway 30E winds it's way down for almost 1,200 vertical feet. Around and around, cutback and hairpin follow one after another until you reach the valley floor. The current roadway follows the original Cherokee Trail of Tears that originated in north Georgia and paved it's way through S.E. Tennessee onward toward it's final destination in Oklahoma.

Nestled at the foot of the east ridge, HavenRest Farm offers the visitor and guest a quiet atmosphere with acres of hiking trails and pastures that you can stroll across at your leisure. Watch out for what the cattle left behind!

When walking across the hundreds of acres of farmland, you will sense the peace of God flowing in the cool morning breeze. This property has been in ministry hands since the turn of the century and has been a site of prayer and homecoming meetings for generations. Over the years hundreds of people have come to HavenRest to fill the air with their prayers for peaceful rest.
