  • 32:16 - awesome Brit SS site. Finely crafted words about the mountain biking experience, filtered through one gear and a pint or two of British bitter.
  • 63XC - a site for everyone who likes to take their fixed gear bike offroad. That's a pretty small group right now, but numbers are growing.
  • The Angry Bitter SingleSpeed Society - neither angry nor bitter, the ABSSS name comes from the fact that SingleSpeeders are often viewed as grouches within the cycling community.
  • BBP's Single-Speed mtb page - Awesome SS site from Finland.

  • Colorado Intergalactic Single-Speed Nutters - great SS site from Colorado.

  • Airborne - Sky Hag SS frame & bike made out of Reynolds 853 steel
  • Angry Asian - axle replacement for Paul hubs. Does away with the need for a chain tensioner on vertical dropouts
  • Celestial Cycles - "where Single Speeds are king and the Pope rides Cross". Based in Oklahoma. Check out the cool SS conversions of steel AND aluminum frames.
  • Matt Chester - schweet looking Ti frames made in Leadville, CO
  • Crow Cycles - based out of Northern Cal, the Tetanka (Native American for buffalo) is a very nice looking frame.
  • Dawes Edge One - complete SS bike, using 631 steel, out of the UK for around $500 bucks!
  • Edge Cycles - Mango SS frames & bikes utilizing a Columbus Cyber tubeset
  • Fireman's Bikes - two sweet steel framesets for the overgrown hammerhead lurking within us all. The Texas Race is a quick-handling wheelie machine, Snap the start, bunnyhop the picnic table, this is it! The Texas Cruiser is just the thing for picking up a sixer of Shiner Bock in your flipflops and boardshorts.
  • Igle Bikes Ex-Fat City welder who makes a SS frame with powdercoat for $850.
  • Kavik Bicycles - Switch between a SS bike and a geared bike by swapping the dropouts on this frame. Pretty cool!
  • Chris King - check out the mondo awesome looking SS hubs! I have to wipe the drool off my chin every time I think about them.
  • Magmaa Titanium - based out of Sweden. There isn't a SS frame shown on the site but owner assures me they make them.
  • Lahar carbon fiber bikes out of New Zealand. Technically, they don't make a SS frame but they're just too good looking not to add.
  • On-One Bicycles - UK based SS frames and hubs
  • Paul Components - hubs, tensioner, mondo cool dropouts
  • Spot Brand Bicycle Components - frames, chainrings, chainguards, hubs
  • Strong Frames - very nice looking frames out of Bozeman, MT
  • TwoCircles - new bike company out of Bend, OR. Easton Elite 7005 singlespeed frames with eccentric BB, disc mounts and clearance for fat tires.
  • Strida - funky looking folding bicycles ... and yes they're singlespeeds.
  • Surly Bikes - frames, hubs, tensioner, cassette converter, chainrings
  • Vulture Cycles - "We like one speeds and dirt. I'm not sure of any perfect formulations connecting human to wheel to dirt but I can take a great shot at it with steel and electric fire." Frames made out of True Temper and Reynolds in Bend, OR
  • Phil Wood - frames & bikes, hubs, BB. Awesome looking F/R disk equipped Le' Kiss OFF bike!

    SingleSpeed Bike Shops

  • Cruiser Bike Shop - based out of New York City, all they sell are singlespeeds. Check out the BMX, the mtb, and the super cool Cook Bros. cruiser!
  • Elite Athlete has sadly closed their doors. We will miss you.
  • Fat Tire Farm - Portland, OR. The Fat Tire Farm promotes and also rides single speeds. They sell Surly, Kona, Paul, Chris King, and Vicious.
  • Over the Edge - Fruita, CO. Shop owner Troy Rarick rides the SS bike he created ... the Edge Mango. There's some awesome trails to ride 'round Fruita!
  • John Atkins Cycles - UK based bike shop. They've been riding/racing/converting single-speeds for about 6 years and stock all sorts of goodies from Surly, Hope, DMR, etc.

  • MTBR.com Singlespeed Forum - ask SS questions and someone will usually come up with an answer.
  • Singlespeed.net Forum - spreading the SS word.
  • Singlespeedforum - another place to talk with fellow singlespeeders.
  • Team Bigtime SS forum

    Online SS Gear

  • Webcyclery - they're focusing on selling SingleSpeed equipment (as well as trails, dual-slalom, & dirt jumping). They carry brands like Spot, Surly, SoulCraft, Mrazek SS, Phils, Paul, and On-One.
  • Harris Cyclery - based out of Massachusetts, they sell Bianchi, Surly, Gunnar and all the equip necessary to get your SS bike running.
  • Speedgoat - great shop out of Pennsylvania. They can get Surly and Spot products (usually 2-3 days at most to get in). Speedgoat just expanded their shop and may start to offer more in the way of on-the-shelf singlespeed equipment.

    SS Reading

  • Dirt Rag - best print mtb magazine out there, IMO. Very friendly to singlespeeders and the only mag that Webcyclery advertises in.
  • Outcast - UK based print zine devolted entirely to singlespeeders!
  • Single Speed Outlaw - an online SS zine. Check out the interview w/ BigRing!
