Why ride a singlespeed? I can't answer that for you. You'll have to get out on one for yourself and decide if you like it or not. For me, I find them to be a total blast. I still own and ride a regular geared mountain bike. The singlespeed is just another way for me to enjoy the trails. It's kind of like offroad riding at night. Your old trails that you know so well become all new again. You have to ride just a little bit different on a singlespeed than you do on a gearie. Singlespeeds are easier to maintain than a geared bike and they are usually lighter ... mostly they're just FUN!

Like to talk to me about my "addiction"? Drop me an email. I'd love to hear from other singlespeed riders!

T-Shirts: Still have some Dragon Tongue shirts. You can get an idea of what they look like from these pictures: Front View / Back View. The shirts were done up for me by A1 Embroidery and Screenprint (THANKX TJ!). I'm asking $12.50 for the shirts and have them in size L and XL. Send me an email if you're interested.

What's New

  • (12/2/05) Four new beers added to the Winter Beer Review page. Also updated the Redhook Winterhook review to include a cask version.
  • (11/10/05) Good golly ... its been too long since I've updated. Hope to be better at it. I'm drinking winter beers now and loving it. Thought I'd keep a running log of reviews for the beers I've tried. Check the reviews out at Winter Beer Review. All beers are singlespeed worthy unless noted.
