Blind For The Physically Challenged!

Rondeau Bay Waterfowl Management Unit
Daily Waterfowl Blind Allocation
(Except Opening Day)
- The following procedures are for the allocation of
"A Zone" blinds, at the Waterfowl Unit.

- The Rondeau Waterfowl Unit office will open at 4:00 a.m. on each hunting day except as may be otherwise posted.

- Hunting parties present will make application to participate in the lottery draw at 4:30 a.m. for a blind allocation choice. This procedure, combined with reservation holders present, will provide the blind choice standing for the initial hunt.

- A maximum of five reservations will be available for any hunting day except opening day.

- Allocation of blind choice for the initial hunt will proceed according to the following system. Reservation holders not personally present at the time of allocation will be considered "no shows" and will not be considered for the initial blind allocation and billed for the registration fee.

- In order to be considered for that particular blind. Missing or rejecting a particular resale opportunity will not affect the blind choice standing for any subsequent opportunities

Blind Choice
#1 - First Lottery
#2 - First Reservation
#3 - Second Lottery
#4 - Second Reservation
#5 - Third Lottery
#6 - Third Reservation etc.

Note: In the event of no-show reservations, the following applies: Reservations will move up in position if higher reservation is a no-show.

e.g. #2 reservation is no-show, #3 becomes #2, #4 becomes #3, etc.

- The Assigning of blind choice standing by lottery will continue until all hunters present at the time of the lottery have received a choice standing. In the event that the number of hunters present exceeds the number of blinds available for the initial shoot, the blind choice standing will be used to determine order of allocation for any subsequent hunt opportunities as blinds are vacated.

-Hunters arriving after the conclusion of the lottery draw will be assigned a blind choice standing in relation to their order of arrival. Theses hunters will not be accommodated until after all lottery participants have accepted or rejected a blind;
 -When initial shoot participants vacate blinds, blinds will be "resold" according to the blind choice standing. It is the hunter's responsibility to be personally present at the waterfowl office at the time a resale blind becomes available.

-In order to be considered for that particular blind missing or rejecting a particular resale opportunity will not affect the blind choice standing for any subsequent opportunities;

- All hunters will be required to complete a registration card which requests names, addresses, and license and permit numbers and also present a valid RPP vehicle pass (daily or seasonal). Hunters should be prepared to choose their blind quickly by referring to the location map and the registration board that indicates which blinds are already occupied. Both are in the Waterfowl Unit Office
