  Smores
Preparation Method: Fire
Serves:
Non-Food Items Needed: Stick for roasting marshmallow
Food Items Needed: 2 Graham Crackers
1 square of chocolate
1 marshmallow
At Home Prep:
In Camp Prep / Cooking Instructions: Roast a marshmallow on a stick. Put the toasted marshmallow, a piece of plain chocolate candy bar between two graham crackers, like a sandwich. Bottom cracker, chocolate, marshmallow, top cracker. Squish it down and eat. Yum. Who wants some more (S'mores)?
Serving Suggestions:
Comments: S'mores are simply the dessert at a campfire, the easiest and probably the most well-known campfire treat.

  Don't forget the variations too.
  Variation I
Food Items Needed: cooked/roasted Marshmallows
Girl Guide cookies (or any cookie with chocolate in/on it)
At Home Prep: Cookies such as Girl Guide cookies get split apart and the Marshmallows go inside. Others use two cookies and place the marshmallow in between.
Comments: I was told at my Ranger meeting last night to post that. ;)

  Variation II
Comments: My Guides love cooking (and eating) S'mores but we don't use graham crackers and chocolate instead we use a biscuit (cookie) called Choc Weatens. It's like an ordinary plain biscuit with a chocolate coating on one side.
The girls toast their marshmallow then sandwich it between two biscuits with the chocolate on the marshmallow side. Yummo!!!

  Variation III
Comments: You can substitute Frosting for the chocolate candy. It isn't quite as rich but a little less expensive
You can spread a little peanut butter on the inside of one Graham Cracker piece -- then proceed to assemble the sandwich in the normal manner -- Yummy!

  Variation IV
Comments: Another variations my brownies like is to put a piece of caramel toffee on the stick with the marshmallow, and toast the whole lot. It seems to keep them quieter - more to chew their way through :) This seems to be the most international recipe I've seen so far!

  Variation V
Comments: Using chocolate frosting is more cost effective and just as good as using Hershey bars. Just my .02 worth. And it's ok if you eat my s'more ;)
