Old-Farm Nu Alison March 1, 1997 - April 16, 1997
I would like to dedicate this to Al Baby, a friendly LaMancha baby.
Though she had a short life, it had an affect on me. (She died of
bloat.) I will never forget how I held on to you in the car on the way to the vet. I didn't want to leave you there even though I knew you were seeing the "Rainbow Bridge." I still miss you, that is why you are in the prettiest spot in the woods, by the violets. We will meet sometime.

Cocoa 1997
 |
Cocoa was Mary's grade daughter that we kept. She was our only recorded
grade in our herd of Purebred Nubians. We bred her at first, but after she
presented us with 7 bucks, we just let her live out her days. She had heart
problems her last year of life and had to be put to sleep in the fall of
1997.

Dear Kenai, You were the first baby that I named after the town I was born at. I am so sorry you had to go thru the pain you did at your death. I so wish you could have told me what had happened to you, so we could have fixed it and made you all better. I miss you Kenai.

Old*Glory Kissy February 24, 1997 - March 31, 1997
 |
She was only 5 weeks old when she died
and she took part of my heart with her! She
learned to lead at 5 days old and was as much my child as anything could ever be.
|
Kristy February 21, 1992 - April 7, 1997, 5 years old
It didn't seem fair to lose you, and your two kids, too. After all, they were the first doelings you ever had. You were my best and brightest. I miss you - no one has your
personality, nor your stubbornness!

Mary 1997
 |
Mary was our first full dairy doe, although not papered. Her mom was a grade Toggenburg and her dad was a registered Nubian. She was my only "old" goat
that I still had when I got my first Purebred Nubian buck. She died shortly after having triplet does by him, of a uterine infection. We have learned so much since then. We kept her daughter until she died this past winter
(1997).

CH Rockin-CB Brigham's Masquerade March 1997, 2 years, 11 months
 | Masque, I'm sorry. I love you so very much, and now you are gone. The ache
is still here in my heart, and always will be. Thank you so much for the love you gave me during our time together, I will never forget you. Until we see each other again, at the Rainbow Bridge.

This is a picture of Penny Royale with our granddaughter, Lauren, at the
Virginia State Fair. Penny's Lifetime Production was 11,623 lbs of milk, 461 lbs of butterfat and
367 lbs of protein. Her LA Score was 91 VEEE. Penny passed away this year on July 7th. She
was nine years old. We miss her deeply.

Lady Bug Ona Petunia April 1995 - Christmas Eve 1997
Petunia was the only kid to have survived a devastating illness that
killed our Alpine kid Alpine kid crop in '95. She was raised at our
house as an "only kid" and was ROTTEN! There was never a structure built
to confine her and she destroyed 10 years worth of houseplants! Petunia
died a few short weeks after working her way to Boss Goat in the herd.
She fought a gallant battle up until the end; I still can't believe she is gone.

|
Willow Lane Mini's Scamper 1988 - December, 1997, 9 years
She was my very first registered goat. And although she wasn't much to look at, she'll always hold a special part of my heart, cause she got me into this whole mess. |
|
CH The Hesyck's P.W. Selena April 15, 1991 - February 1997
We all miss you Selena, our first Permanent Grand Champion!! Until we
meet again...
|
Gnomeland's Wendy 1992 - 1997
Wendy was one of our first registered pygmys. She had a terrible head
and was a pain at times to the other goats. She was a screamer to boot.
Last winter she gave us out first doe in our farm name and in the middle
of an ice storm!!! This doe is a copy of her mother in persona but has
done very well in the ring. Wendy gal~~you are missed. I don't know why
you and your kids were taken before they were born, but in Crystal you
live on! In fact, when Crystal kids, her daughter will
be ```````Wendy``````` We love you and think of you often.
