a website designer, what I enjoy most about my job is trying to
create a design for your business that will present it most effectively.
It helps when I know a little about your tastes or hobbies (I encourage
my clients to brainstorm about objects, feelings, or colors that
sum up their business) or have some of your business literature
to start with. It is possible to use a picture of your choice
as a background. I am creative and can design a custom website
for you or even a business logo. I can also touch up photos or graphics
to get the desired effect. I have a scanner and digital camera
which allow me to either upload your photos, make new ones, or use
jpgs that you email to me. Links can appear on the website
for someone to email you. Forms can be designed so that the
viewer completes them onscreen and when they click, it is emailed
to you. And of course counters can be added to help you see
how many people are visiting your site, unless you prefer to view
statistics quietly off the server. Perhaps you would like
a guestbook for visitors to sign which can give useful feedback.
Chatrooms can also add to the right site. Short
video clips are also possible. Animated
graphics and large photos are avoided or decreased in bytes to limit
download time. Every site has an original look. Your graphics may
not be used by any designer including myself on other people's sites
without your permission.
Website
design can always be scaled to your budget. Website
and graphic design is $15 per hour or can be done on a lump sum
basis. Roughly
estimate $75 a page, with some pages being more expensive than others.
A small five page site is about $300 and a 10-12 page site about
